My Favorite Books Are Ones BEST Described as “Gothic”
They’re books full of mystery, intrigue, atmosphere, and sometimes, just a hint of magic.
Think THE LITTLE STRANGER by Sarah Waters, THE SECRET HISTORY by Donna Tartt, or THE LIKENESS by Tana French. Or, if you want to go old school, Wilkie Collins, Emily Brontë, and Daphne du Maurier.
It’s not a category you’ll find easily in the bookstore (and not one you’ll often find books lumped together in), but it’s my favorite type of book, and I’m always looking for more good reads.
